What’s New at The Antioch Group?
Coming Fall 2008
Lifeskills Groups
For people who need a life worth living (i.e., want to experience less suffering from chronic anger, anxiety, depression, relational and behavioral difficulties, chronic pain, post-traumatic struggles).
These skills-building therapy groups, one for adolescents and their families, and one for adults, will teach specific tools, based upon the principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Participants will learn how to manage and move beyond:
- Relationship-destroying explosive or “clingy” outbursts
- Personal feelings of isolation and worthlessness
- Suffering with fear, tension, and/or depression
- Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, and hopeless about life
Most insurers will cover at least a portion of the costs of group therapy. For information about dates and times of each group, check our Therapy Groups page or call (309) 692-6622 on or about August 1, 2008.

- Learn to actively reduce anxiety and fear associated with test-taking, various performance settings, and pain.
- Adults, children, and teens can master cardiac coherence through fun, easy-to-use programs and games.
