Drug and Alcohol Evaluations
For most individuals, the thought of a drug or alcohol evaluation is associated with negative results or consequences. There are many misconceptions regarding the term, usually involving a court of law or a police arrest. It is important to understand that many individuals seek out these evaluations for other reasons.
Corporate: At The Antioch Group we provide drug and alcohol evaluations for individuals seeking to fulfill a corporate requirement. Any individual working in a field involving the safety of the general public may be required to sit for a drug and alcohol evaluation. Some of these may include:
- Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT)
- Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Truck drivers
- Airline workers
- Railroad employees
- Coast Guard
Personal: We also offer personal drug and alcohol evaluations for individuals who are concerned about their own level of substance use. Personal evaluations are offered to anyone including:
- Parents in need of an evaluation for custody purposes
- An individual whose family may be concerned about drug or alcohol use
- Adolescents
- Foster children
- Any individual referred by a counselor, physician, teacher, etc.
Evaluations consist of both an interview and a series of brief tests. Our substance abuse and child specialists make it possible to work with any age group in evaluating for drugs and alcohol. For some clients, this may be the first step in entering the process of recovery!
