Our Mission.

At The Antioch Group, we are dedicated to offering exceptional, faith-informed mental health care that honors God and enriches lives. We strive to:

  • Deliver a comprehensive range of high-quality mental health services rooted in clinical excellence and compassion

  • Uphold the dignity, worth, and holistic well-being of every individual we serve

  • Actively contribute to the well-being of our community and those around us

  • Faithfully steward the resources entrusted to us, reflecting our commitment to God and those we are privileged to serve

Guided by our Christian values and deep local roots, our mission is to bring hope, healing, and growth to individuals and families throughout central Illinois.

Our History.

In 1996, a small group of us came together out of deep concern for what we saw as a growing “cattle mentality” in mental health care—where people were treated as numbers rather than as unique individuals. Through prayer, thoughtful discussion, and shared vision, we believed there had to be a better way: to create a practice offering highly personalized, state-of-the-art therapy grounded in sound Biblical stewardship and guided by faith.

With prayerful conviction, we launched The Antioch Group. What began with just two, then three, then four of us was built on a simple but profound commitment: to care for each person as Christ did—with compassion, respect, and individualized attention.

By God’s grace, our practice flourished beyond anything we could have imagined. Today, our team has grown to include over twenty dedicated therapists serving Peoria and surrounding communities. We offer a comprehensive range of psychological services—from psychological testing and trauma therapy to addictions counseling and dispute mediation—supporting individuals and families from ages 3 to 103.

Yet even as we’ve grown, we’ve remained steadfast in our founding vision: to see and treat each client as a person, never just a case or a number. Our guiding motto remains unchanged:

“It’s not the number; it’s the lives.”

We believe these are words to serve by—and they continue to shape every aspect of our work at The Antioch Group.

The Strength of Many, The Care of One

At The Antioch Group, we believe that true healing and growth flourish best within a caring, collaborative community. While each of our clinicians brings unique expertise and therapeutic style, it is our shared mission and fellowship that set us apart—from both solo providers and other practices.

For our clients, this means access to a diverse team of over twenty skilled professionals, each specializing in areas such as trauma recovery, addiction counseling, family therapy, psychological assessment, and more. This breadth allows us to match each person, couple, or family with the therapist whose training and approach best meet their unique needs—offering not only highly individualized care, but also the collective insight of an experienced team committed to your well-being.

For providers, joining The Antioch Group means becoming part of a practice shaped by shared faith, deep respect for each person we serve, and an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence. It means collaborating daily with colleagues whose diverse specialties enrich your own work, while benefitting from administrative support, mentorship, and a reputation built over decades of faithful service to central Illinois.

From the beginning, our guiding conviction has remained the same: it’s not about numbers—it’s about lives. By working together, we believe we can serve each life more fully, respond to complex needs more effectively, and honor God through compassionate, community-rooted care.
