Evan holds a BS degree from Bradley University where he majored in Secondary Education, returning almost a decade later to complete his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Nationally Board Certified, Evan is licensed as a professional counselor in the state of Illinois.
Evan is passionate about working with trauma, anxiety, spiritual issues, depression, grief, and men’s issues. Evan considers himself a neuro-informed counselor, utilized brain-informed, science-driven approaches to helping clients both understand, rewire, and rebuild healthier emotional and behavioral patterns. Trained in EMDR, Evan offers this modality to clients both primarily trauma-focused and those that have diagnoses comorbid with trauma. Evan also offers brainspotting to help clients process and relieve deeply stored emotional or traumatic material. With his past experiences in and out of the school system, Evan offers services for clients 12+ both in person and online. He is an ardent believer in bringing out the best the client has to offer through a variety of modalities and services through strengths-based approaches.
Evan lives in Peoria Heights and attends St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
